How to access optometric patient education material

Where can I find AOA patient education materials and digital downloads?

AOA members can access patient education and community outreach materials at no additional cost through the Patient & Community Education Downloads library.

Included with your AOA membership, these digital resources are ready to download and print in your practice to help educate patients and support community outreach.

What materials are available?

The library includes:

  • Patient education materials: Fact sheets, pamphlets, infographics, flyers and handouts about eye health, vision conditions and patient concerns.

  • Children’s activity resources: Activity sheets and books for your practice, school visits and community health fairs.

  • Community outreach materials: Social media content, presentations, press releases and other educational resources.

Explore topics such as children’s vision, contact lenses, diabetes, digital eyestrain, glaucoma, low vision, UV protection and more.

How do I access the materials?

  1. Visit the Patient & Community Education Downloads library.

  2. Sign in with your AOA member account to access member-only materials.

  3. Select a topic and browse the available resources.

  4. Download the materials you need and print the printable resources in your practice.

There is no additional charge for these downloads—they are included with your AOA membership.

Looking for an item previously sold through the AOA Marketplace?

Many educational materials previously sold individually through the AOA Marketplace are now available as digital downloads in the library.

The AOA Marketplace closed in 2026. Printed products are no longer available to order, and some former products—including certain forms, stationery and educational materials—have been retired. The downloads library is the current source for available materials.
