Online Continuing Education (CE) for CPO, CPOA & CPOT (for the year 2026)

Online continuing education (CE) is available from a variety of approved providers.

⚠️ Most providers charge fees. Please check directly with each organization for pricing and access requirements.

If your doctor is an AOA member, they may enroll office staff through AOA Member Services at no additional cost as part of member benefits.

AOA Associate Members have access to CPC-approved online credits through EyeLearn.

CPR, First Aid, ACLS & PALS Credits

The following certifications qualify for CPC-approved CE:

CPR & First Aid (Up to 4 Hours)

You may attend traditional programs through:

  • American Red Cross

  • American Heart Association

  • American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI)

✔ Maximum of 4 CPC-approved CE hours per CPR/First Aid course
✔ Military members submitting BLS training card may earn up to 4 hours


PALS & ACLS (American Heart Association)

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Each course:

  • May be taken once per 3-year renewal period

  • Awards 2 CPC-approved CE credits per course
